To clean out your fishing line recycling bin, put a bucket or bag underneath it, unscrew the bottom cap and using a gloved hand and hook or similar tool, pull the contents out, letting them drop into the bucket or bag.

Use caution Will Robinson, you never know what you'll find!

WHO DOES THE RECYCLING?

Clean the line of hooks and debris and send it to:

Berkley Pure Fishing America
1900 18th Street
Spirit Lake, IA 51360-1041

We use a US Post Priority Mail carton.

But, Pure Fishing can and will supply you with pre-paid shipping cartons if you ask. Phone Karen at: 1-800-BERKLEY.

Berkley turns the line into pellets which get made into fish condos, park benches, tackle boxes and much more.

IF YOU HAVE TO

It's not recommended that fishing line be tossed in with other refuse as wildlife still encounters it in landfills.

However, if that's the only option, cut the line into short lengths (1-2 inches max) and make sure trash bags containing monofilament are secure.
